WHY NON CONTACT LASER SCANNING?

SOME APPLICATIONS

Today the industry is demanding higher quality and increased productivity in shorter lead-times. To meet the challenges of their business environment, companies are looking for ways to make production more efficient and cost-effective. Quality management has become increasingly important with the globalization of the suppliers’ network.

3D laser scanning  or « digitizing » is  a technology that captures the geometry of existing physical objects  through the use  of digitizing machines or laser scanners. KREON's scanning technology is based on triangulation. The laser triangulation principle is based on the computing of the distance to the object by means of a directional laser source and a video camera. The laser source creates  a laser line on the object which is filmed by one or two cameras.

The speed and accuracy of KREON 3D scanners make them the ideal tool for scanning of complex parts of small or large diameter.

The scanners enable a considerable gain of time in many phases of the manufacturing process . First of all, up the line, they are the link between the manual design and the digital model.

During the adjustment of both parts and tools they consistently apply the modifications trade.

Finally, in Production, they enable to check the conformity of the part according to the digital model.

It is in response to that  industry need for high quality, cost-effective  measurement solutions  that KREON was created more than a decade ago. KREON TECHNOLOGIES offers complete solutions for quality control,  reverse engineering, and inspection using its patented technology in high speed , non contact 3D laser scanning systems.

Considerably accelerating product development, KREON solutions promote innovation, by increasing competitiveness through the  lowering of your manufacturing costs. They help decrease engineering costs and improve the product’s time to market

NESTech Advantage

Over the course of time with thousands of product data migration and re-engineering projects, we have refined procedures, formed a database of Best Practices, and quality control checks to ensure delivery of high quality design models that meet all of our client’s specifications. We are, and will continue to be, the most experienced CAD/CAM/CAE service provider.

CAD/CAM/CAE service projects are managed and performed at our Coimbatore office in India and operation manager and project leaders work closely with clients and project engineers to ensure NESTech achieves the quality and meeting clients specifications in on-site projects.

CAD/CAM/CAE for application in Engineering industries has been one of the best opportunities during last and this decade. NESTech with a view to extend it’s clientele base embarks on a ambitious plan to source work from North America, Europe, and Pacific Rim. The work will be taken with best understanding and very high professional competence.

Architectural Restoration

When original accents can no longer be located, all hope is not lost. A 3D Laser scan of the original object can be used to recreate templates and molds for many items including hand carved wooden posts, plaster appliqué, and metal hardware. Using CNC machining, replica components can be manufactured.
"When an original is too expensive, make a new antique."

Forensics and Deformation Analysis

For inspection of a failed part, a comparisoncan be made between a scanned model and the original CAD model or an other sample

Fabrication and Construction Inspection

Quality and integrity of manufacturing can be assured by comparing a production sample to both the original CAD file and a sample known to be within spec.

Manufacturing and Reverse Engineering

When there is an existing sample, scanning is the ideal basis for run of replacement parts. When replacement parts no longer exist, reverse engineering and short run manufacturing is often the only way to keep antique or legacy equipment in service.

Historical Archival

Exact replicas of original art and historical artifacts can be created from 3D Laser Scans, providing historians and enthusiasts access to rare and delicate specimens for study. Replicas could be placed out for museum visitors to touch and hold.

Virtual Museums could be made available world wide, while original specimens remains protected.

Virtual Product Visualization

Utilizing our state of the art facility, the Impact Studios design team will create a virtual computer model, and animate it to illustrate the actual product in use

Special Effects

Scan in a maquette or model for inclusion in your animation or video game. Scan in people which can be animated doing things that would otherwise be impossible.
